Top Ten Most Anticipated Books For The Second Half of 2017

5/30/2017

It is Top Ten Tuesday time again! It looks like I'm a Broke and the Bookish regular now. Today's topic is the most anticipated books for the second half of 2017. Seriously? We're halfway through already?! I've avoided looking at upcoming books for a while, the immense amount of books on my shelf is intimidating enough to petrify me, let alone 2017 releases too! Lots of people are getting excited about new books though, and I love hearing the new ideas, so I've done a bit of research, and found my favourite 10.

I Believe in a Thing Called Love by Maurene Goo - 30th May

I know, I know, it's released today so technically its not in the second half of 2017, but it sounds so good!! I used to live in manga and anime, so a main character who finds love and watches k-dramas? Yes please!

The Hundredth Queen by Emily R. King - 1st June

An orphan girl named Kalinda taken from her home, and thrust into the risk of a tournament to the death for a place with Rajah Tarek's ninety-nine wives. Add a bit of forbidden romance and powers into the mix and you've got yourself a spellbinding novel!

Once and for All by Sarah Dessen - 6th June

I have one word... Weddings!!!

Flight of a Starling by Lisa Heathfield - 29th June

Trapezing sisters who are part of a travelling circus. This sounds right up my street!

The Library of Fates by Aditi Khorana - 18th July

Let's be honest here, I was hooked by the word 'library'. Can Princess Amrita and oracle Thala reverse their fates and save Amrita's kingdom? I'd like to find out!

Little & Lion by Brandy Colbert - 8th August

Suzette has a step-brother with bipolar, which is something pretty close to my heart, I'm really interested to see how it's portrayed in this novel! Plus, there's romance and boarding schools!

Wicked Like Wildfire by Lana Popović - 15th August

Iris and Malina's family have secret magical abilities, throw in a few mysteries a gorgeous cover and you've got me hook, line and sinker!

A Semi-Definitive List of Worst Nightmares by Krystal Sutherland - 5th September

A grandfather cursed by Death and a family doomed to suffer a great fear throughout their life. Esther Solar has a list of her potential fears, and avoids them at all costs, until she is pick-pocketed by Jonah Smallwood. This sounds like a crossover of supernatural and mental health, I'd love to see whether it lives up to expectations as it sounds amazing!

Another novel with an orphan and travellers. Sante has recurring dreams of her being in a sea chest ass a baby with treasures, and now two men from her dreams want those treasures back. Oh, sorry, I should probably add that she's also a secret princess?

Wild Beauty by Anna-Marie McLemore - 3rd October

This cover is stunning! So intricate and pretty! An inevitable fate, any time the Nomeolvides women fall in love, their lover vanishes. One day a boy appears in their garden, La Pradera, remembering nothing except his first name. Estrella, his founder, helps Fel discover his past, leading them to further secrets. So magical gardens, hidden memories and mystery. I'm in!

Those YA novels sound spine-tingling don't they. Let me know in the comments what book tempts you the most. Are there any I've missed? I guess we'll have to see.

  5. The Library of Fates has to be one of the more awesome titles out there. :) Love that one! And she's on a little floating island thingie, looks like, from the cover. Definitely adding that one. Wild Beauty has an AMAZING cover as well, and Flight of the Starling also looks great.

    Nice list!
